C&Y Global is one of the fastest growing scrap-metal recycling companies, with warehouses in Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Kansas City, Cleveland, St Louis, Livermore, Atlanta, and Oklahoma. From our establishment in 2004, our revenue has increased steadily. We are looking for high potential candidates who are interested in a long term career.
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator to join our team.
The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safe work environment.
RESPONSIBLITIES: (is as follows but not limited to)
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits over our USA locations
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes
- Provide safety training and open communications to employees and managers alike
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations pertaining to our industry
- Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and implement solutions
- Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs
- Prepare reports on safety metrics and incidents
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
- Willing to work with a diverse culture
- Preferably Bilingual in either Spanish/Chinese English
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred
- Certifications in OSHA, HAZMAT or related areas
- Knowledge of EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) practices
- Experience with workers' compensation processes
- Strong analytical skills for conducting root cause analysis
- Excellent communication skills for training development and report writing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
